F.A.Q.

Our conference and tradeshow take place across two locations sharing a parking lot. Our tradeshow floor at the Thunder Bay Tournament Centre is only 72 metres door to door from our Conference Rooms at the Best Western Nor'Western.  We'll have a clear path all ready and marked for you. These FAQs cover the weather, walking or driving between venues, and a few tips to make your visit safe, smooth, and maybe even magical.
How cold does it get?

It can be pretty nippy! In the early part of the month, highs average -8.6°C (16.5°F) and lows average -15.7°C (3.7°F).

Can I drive between the venue and tournament centre?

You sure can, but we promise, it’s a short walk, and a straight shot from door to door. Between moving and parking time, your two minute walk might become a five or six minute drive. It’s up to you, and there is certainly plenty of parking available.

Will events be cancelled due to snow?

Highly unlikely. Snow is just weather here. Tea and coffee help, and the Best Western Nor’wester will keep an eagle eye out to keep our walkway plowed safely.

Is the wind real or exaggerated?

Real, Gichi-Gami (Lake Superior) is a force to be reckoned with, but a scarf or something to cover your ears helps a lot!

Is there any upside?

There sure is. The beautiful Nor’westers Mountains valley is stunning and there’s a real chance of viewing some Waawaate (Northern Lights) if the conditions are right.

I'm an exhibitor. Can I just stay in the Tradeshow?

You certainly can! We'll have tea, coffee and light refreshments in our exhibitor lounge where you can watch the livestreamed sessions. We do welcome all exhibitors to come and join sessions in the conference area if they wish, and there will be security on site in the Tradeshow. Breakfast and lunch will only be served in the Conference area, and you can move freely between locations with your nametag.

I'm an exhibitor. Will there be power available at my booth?

YES! To support a safe and uninterrupted tradeshow experience at Neeganii Iishawin, exhibitors are asked to follow standard booth power guidelines. Electrical service is shared across the tradeshow floor.

Each exhibitor booth includes:

1) Two (2) standard electrical outlets
2)
Power capacity of approximately 500–600 watts total (all devices combined)

This setup is intended for standard booth needs such as laptops, small monitors, POS systems, charging devices, and modest LED lighting.

Most devices list wattage (W) on the power label.
If not shown, it can be estimated using: 120 volts × amps (A).

I'm an exhibitor. What if I need more power or I'm unsure of my power requirments?

Equipment that produces heat, cooling, strong lighting, motion, or continuous high output requires advance approval, as it may exceed standard booth capacity and impact nearby exhibitors.

If you have questions or require additional power, contact us in advance when possible, or visit the tradeshow information desk on-site. You may also email events@ingaged.ca . Please be ready with your exhibitor name, booth number, and device details. Additional electrical planning/fees may apply.

Limited power bar rentals are available at the tradeshow information desk.
