Jim Beardy

Jim Beardy is the Executive Director of the Sioux Lookout Area Aboriginal Management Board (SLAAMB), where he has served for the past year and a half. He has lived in Sioux Lookout for over 30 years with his family and brings extensive experience working with Indigenous organizations, including roles with NAN Legal as a Community Legal Worker, Tikinagan Child and Family Services at the senior management level, and the Independent First Nations Alliance in economic development. Jim also previously served as a Project Officer with SLAAMB and has completed several programs at Confederation College in trades, administration and management, and general arts.
