Dr. Khorcheska Batyrova

Dr. Khorcheska Batyrova is the CEO and Co-founder of OzoneBio, a Calgary-based sustainable biotechnology company developing the world’s first emissions-free, bio-based adipic acid made from Canadian wood-waste biomass. She holds a Ph.D. in physiology and biochemistry and brings deep expertise in industrial biotechnology, enzyme engineering, and catalytic process development. Dr. Batyrova has led OzoneBio through significant scientific and commercial milestones, securing multiple innovation grants and establishing strategic partnerships across industry and academia. She is committed to advancing clean-chemistry solutions that reduce emissions and enable circular manufacturing for global polymer and chemical industries, scaling the venture she co-founded in 2021.
